Description - ROYAL CHARLES - 100 GUN SHIP OF 1673 Completed in 1673, and used by Prince Rupert as his flagship at the Battle of Schooneveld. Also served as a private ship at the Texel the same year. After a minor rebuild in 1693 she was renamed Queen, and was dismantled in 1715. The Royal James of 1671 and the Royal James of 1675 were very similar.
