Launched in 1787, she was captured by the
French in 1801, but re-captured at Trafalgar.
She was renamed Irresistable and scrapped in
1816. Sister Ships:- Elizabeth, Resolution,
Cumberland, Berwick, Bombay Castle, Powerful
and Defence.
Armament 28 x 32pdr, 28 x 18pdr
18 x 9pdr cannon
(as Irresistable 9pdr replaced by 8 x 12pdr
cannon and 10 x 32pdr carronades).
