Large Japanese tankers built under the second war emergency
Program of 1942. Several were used by the Imperial Navy as
oilers in view of their size and speed, and two were converted
to excort carriers. 33 of class built in all, including Chigisa,
Okinawa, Seria, Yamashiro and Zuiun Maru.
