Description - GMA401 MBB Bö 105 Originally designed by the German firm Bökum, the Bö 105 was taken over by Messerschmitt when the companies amalgamated in 1968. The first production aircraft few in 1970. The original MBB BO105M is a light utility helicopter able to carry three passengers in addition to the two crew. This was developed into an anti-tank variant, the MBB BO 105P. This latter variant can carry either six HOT missiles, or 8 TOW. The aircraft is used by the German Army, and has been exported to the Netherlands, Nigeria and Spain. It is regarded as being a very safe aircraft, having two engines in spite of its small size.
