Description - FMA402 TIGRE HAP
French escort and fire suppression version of
the Eurocopter 665 first flew in 1994. 70 aircraft,
of 115 planned have been ordered and deliveries
are due to start in 2003. France has also ordered
10 Tigre HAC, the anti-tank version, which
closely resembles the German TIGER UHT.
Armament – Four pylons on stub wing can
carry up to 8 HOT3 and 4 Mistral, or 68
SNEB rockets in four pods, or two ferry tanks.
Chin turret with 30mm GIAT automatic
cannon with 450 rounds of ammunition.
Max speed 155 knots at sea level.
Max Range 800 km on internal tanks.
